Dear Sailors of the 2026 ILCA Masters Worlds,
Hereby we have to inform you of unexpected and disappointing news regarding the 2026 ILCA Masters World Championship in Skiathos, Greece. Yesterday (27 December 2025), we were notified that the local host has requested to terminate the hosting contract, which unfortunately means that the event can no longer take place in Skiathos as planned.
Immediately following this development, we began working on alternative solutions. At present, we are actively pursuing an option to relocate the event to Athens. If this option is confirmed, we intend to keep the originally scheduled dates. This would be the safest and most practical solution, as most flights to Skiathos are routed through Athens, allowing many of you who have already booked flights to retain your existing travel plans.
We expect to resolve this matter within the coming days and will communicate the confirmed venue as soon as possible.
We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and uncertainty this situation has caused. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding, and we kindly ask you to stand by for further updates.
