ILCA Entry System – Application Status Explanation

Below is an explanation of the various status labels associated with applications for entry to an ILCA Championship.

Un-Actioned Application

An application has been submitted for the regatta and the application fee has been paid, but the application has not yet been acted upon by the applicant’s ILCA District Representative. All applications must be approved and ranked by the District Representative before an entry offer can be made.

Un-Actioned Late Application

A late application, submitted and/or paid after the initial application deadline, has not yet been acted upon by the applicant’s ILCA District Representative. All applications must be approved and ranked by the District Representative before an entry offer can be made.

Cancelled by Sailor

An application or late application was cancelled by the applicant prior to receiving an entry offer.

Waiting Entry Offer

The ILCA District Representative has approved the application and the applicant is waiting for an entry offer for the regatta. Applicants may have to wait for an entry offer either because the date at which the initial entry offers are made has not yet been reached or the application is on a waiting list for an entry offer because the District has more applicants than places available.

Application Refused

The ILCA District Representative has refused the application. An application can be refused by a District Representative for a variety of reasons: for example, if the applicant is not a current, paid member of their ILCA District Association, if the applicant has not obtained a level of qualification required by the District, or if the ILCA District Association does not have confidence that he/she has the experience or competence required to compete in the championship. If clarification is required please contact the representative of your ILCA District Association.

Allocated Entry Offer or Extra Entry Offer

The applicant has been given an Entry Offer for the regatta but has not yet taken action. The applicant will receive an email with instructions on how to complete entry. Entry must be completed before the offer expiration date which is specified in the Entry Offer email and shown on the public Application List under the “Action By Date” for applications with Active Offers. If your application status shows that you have been offered entry, but you have not yet received an Entry Offer email for the regatta, contact the ILCA team immediately. PLEASE NOTE – it is the sailor’s responsibility to check the status of their application and entry, ILCA will not be able to extend the offer expiration deadline if an Entry Offer email has not been received.

Refused Entry Offer

An Entry Offer was made to the applicant, but the offer was refused by the applicant. The place will be offered to another sailor on the waiting list.

Entry Offer Expired

An Entry offer was made, but the applicant did not responded before the offer expiration date specified in the Entry Offer email. The place will be offered to another sailor on the waiting list.

Entered

An Entry Offer has been made to the applicant and the entry process, including payment, has been completed.
