San Pedro, Los Angeles, USA – 25 July 2025
Finals Day 1 kicked off with energy yesterday, as the boat park buzzed from early morning. By 9:00 AM, the breeze was already building, setting the stage for a high-powered day on the water.
With the Delta flag up at 11:00, both Gold and Silver fleets launched into prime conditions: 18–20 knots of breeze, 4-foot swell, and classic full-send downwinds that had sailors grinning from the first leg.

Racing was tight and clean across both Gold fleets, with the top three sailors in each donning their pinnies and showing up ready to throw down. Two races brought aggressive but clean starts, hard-fought mark roundings, and some of the most exciting breeze-on racing we’ve seen all week.
By the end of the day, sailors came back to shore salty, stoked, and hungry—more than ready to refuel with pasta and chicken and regroup for tomorrow.
