The 2026 Arab Sailing Championships wrapped up this past weekend in Soma Bay, Egypt, running from 28 January to 1 February 2026. Organized by the Egyptian Sailing & Waterski Federation in cooperation with the Arab Sailing Federation, the event brought together top sailors from across the Arab region to compete in the ILCA classes (ILCA 7, ILCA 6, ILCA 4).
United Arab Emirates and Oman Dominate Medal Table
The championships saw strong performances from several countries, with the United Arab Emirates and Oman emerging as the top performers. Both nations won two gold medals and finished with a total of four medals in the ILCA classes.
Jordan made its debut in the ILCA class competition, marking its first-ever participation at this level.
