Racing got underway today at the 2026 ILCA 6 Women’s World Championship, with Charlotte Rose USA and Emma Plasschaert BEL sharing the overall lead after three races in gusty, offshore conditions. Denmark’s Anna Munch sits third, while Frances Beebe AUS claimed her first Open Worlds race win.
Dun Laoghaire Welcomes the 2026 ILCA 6 Women’s Worlds
The 2026 ILCA 6 Women’s World Championship was officially opened today in Dun Laoghaire, with 108 sailors from 44 nations set to race from tomorrow through 12 September. Reigning champion Louise Cervera FRA headlines a stacked fleet that includes Olympic medalists Line Flem Høst NOR and Annalise Murphy IRL, back in top-level competition on the waters where she learned to sail.
